Nigredo
Secret varieties · Bairro · Rio Maior · Tejo
The first red wine from Lua d’Enigmas, Nigredo is born in the Bairro terroir, around Rio Maior, a stone’s throw from the historic salt marshes of Rio Maior. On the Terra do Moinho plot, the vines are rooted in shallow soils where limestone, basalt and marl meet: a place of geological tension that gives the wine its freshness, substance and depth.
Crafted through carbonic maceration then aged in barrel, Nigredo combines intensity of fruit, mineral freshness and the energy of the site.
In our Great Work, Nigredo opens the path: the first shadow, where matter slowly awakens and begins its journey towards balance.

Citrinitas
Fernão Pires · Charneca · Alpiaraça · Tejo
The white cuvée from Lua d’Enigmas, Citrinitas is born in the Charneca terroir, at the heart of the Tejo, on the Vale dos Gagos plot. Grown from old Fernão Pires vines, it is rooted in sandy soils and rolled pebbles, between the inner warmth of Portugal and Atlantic breezes: a place of light and contrast that gives the wine its texture, breadth and precision.
Crafted through gentle macerations then aged 10 months in barrel before a long rest in bottle, Citrinitas combines solar generosity, subtle freshness and the depth of time.
In our Great Work, Citrinitas reveals the light: the moment when matter illuminates, finds harmony and lets its balance emerge.
DiscoverAlchemy inspires us as a quest for transformation, where matter never evolves alone. Through it, the human being also transforms: their gaze, their patience, their intentions, their way of seeking balance. Wine then becomes the reflection of this inner journey, between intuition, demand and the desire to reveal what already exists, but needs time to appear.
In alchemy, this quest takes the form of the Great Work: a passage from shadow to light, from chaos to harmony, from raw matter to a more accomplished form. This progression inspires our world, where each wine represents a symbolic step on this path.
Nigredo evokes the obscure origin, depth, doubt and still mysterious matter.
Albedo represents clarification, purification and the search for balance.
Citrinitas embodies awakening, inner light and progressive understanding.
Rubedo marks accomplishment, maturity and the union between matter, time, place and spirit.
Through this cycle, we seek to express a simple conviction: wine is not only the result of know-how, but the witness of a living metamorphosis. It reveals a terroir, but also a human intention. It speaks of the earth, of time, and of those who choose to devote themselves to it.
